One of the most powerful new features built into GenePilot™
is the ability to create a new dataset from the results of an analytic.
This offers a very powerful way to narrow down the search to a much
smaller set of rows (genes) by using the custom selection features built
into each analytic:
1. Hierarchical - Select rows (genes) in a cluster to
include or exclude in the new Dataset.
2. K-Means - Select one or more clusters as the basis of rows (genes)
to include or exclude in the new Dataset.
3. SOM - Select one or more nodes as the basis of rows (genes) to include
or exclude in the new Dataset.
4. SAM - Select an FDR to be used as a basis in one or more set (i.e.
Melenoma and CNS) to select the most signifigant rows (genes) to include
or exclude in the new Dataset. This is the most powerful implementation
of the Sub Dataset feature!
